My elbow isn’t quite 100% yet, but I did manage to get to most of the drawing I wanted to finish this weekend. So, she said, chapter three, page 01 is up!
It’s a quick and dirty update – I haven’t updated the chapter headers or finished the opener artwork yet. That will come as the week goes on. But the wordy page is done and now I can go ice my elbow a bit. She did good, though!
As always, thanks for your understanding!

This week’s under drawings, waiting for pencil; my elbow brace.
So, yeah. Tennis elbow sucks. I am not even close to 100% yet and can only draw for 30 minutes or so at a time. I was doing quite well this week until I unexpectedly had to shake someone’s hand. Now, if you’ve suffered through tennis elbow, you know that that’s one of the worst things you can do. I knew that, was told to avoid it, and was caught completely off-guard and just rolled with the moment.
To say it was painful is a gross understatement. In that quick moment of friendly gesture, I wanted nothing more than to have my arm cut off and thrown into the woods for the animals to devour.
But, a new brace that further immobilizes my elbow (you try not using your elbow!) is helping and I’m paying greater attention to what I’m doing so I don’t make another boneheaded move that sets my recovery back. (Fist bumps for-evah!)
So, sad to say once again that there will be no she said update this weekend. Hopefully, something will go up during the week. (If you look really hard at the photo above, you can kind of see what’s coming up!) I apologize for the unexpected delays. Heck, I don’t even know how I hurt my elbow in the first place. But all I can do is wait for everything to heal.
I thank everyone for their patience and understanding.

she said Chapter Three will now begin on May 22. I have, of all things, tennis elbow in my drawing arm and, damn, it really hurts. Who knew? But I have a fashionable brace, a bucket of ibuprofen, and orders to rest my elbow – all of which seems to be working. I have no idea what I did to cause the injury, but being told in a somewhat snide tone that age is a factor does not make me feel better. Thanks, Dr.Walk-In-Clinic-Zero-Bedside-Manner.
Anyway, I expect to be back in action later in the week and should have a new page up next Saturday.
Thanks for your patience!
